unibox was created to work together with a remote data source from where the input suggestions will be queried for and retrieved, showing them in the drop-down list.
The suggestions need to be stored in JSON format, and based on the data they hold, various of their details can be pulled inside the suggestion list drop-down, showing it next to the suggestion itself.
This means you can create input suggestions that can show images, links, small descriptions, and so on, ideal for feature-rich, dynamic, and user-friendly search fields.
Developers can also set other unibox settings, like the number of characters after which a suggestions query is performed, animation settings, highlighting options, and a few other more.
