CDNotification ActiveX Control is een regeling die het mogelijk maakt het programma om te weten wanneer een cd wordt geplaatst in of uitgeworpen uit de cd-rom drive. Wanneer een CD aankomt, zal Aankomst event brand, en wanneer een CD wordt verwijderd uit de cd-rom, zal het RemoveComplete evenement brand. Deze controle is handig voor multimedia, spel en demo programmering
