WildFly is a continuation of the old JBoss Application Server project, but coded anew from the ground up.
It focuses on speed and being as light as possible, providing efficient methods of managing server memory, a light core, and a pluggable architecture to provide extra functionality.
There are also lots of configuration options available, allowing developers to manage the entire server's settings from one central location.
Support is included for single and multi-JVM modes, Java EE 7, and the latest standards and technologies.
WildFly is compatible with other JBoss modules and technologies, and also includes a powerful dependency solver and delegation model.
Some of the tools that have contributed to WildFly's code and inherent success include famous technologies like Narayana, Hibernate, RESTEasy, Apache CXF, Infinispan, and many other more.
