Strip ditched the classic "expand-from-page-location" pattern that most image modal windowing scripts use and when a link, image or video thumb is clicked it will show its content on the right side of the page.
Support is included for images, Vimeo and YouTube videos, and the lightbox works properly even with responsive layouts and mobile devices.
The plugin is quite easy to deploy and comes with in-depth documentation and lots of customizable options.
Developers can control lots of things in the Strip window behavior, starting with its template (skin), and going down to keyboard shortcuts and various interface elements.
Strip modal windows can display a basic close button, left/right navigational arrows, and a small caption field.
The project is available under a free GPL license for non-commercial projects, while a commercial license needs to be purchased when Strips needs to be used in commercial projects.
