Not familiar with Growl?
Growl is a system for Mac OS X which shows notifications from many applications. Visit the Growl homepage for more information.
If you do not have Growl installed, Pulsar does not install it automatically. To install Growl manually, just download and run the installer, from their site.
If you ever wish to remove Growl from your Mac, see this link.

Automatically check for software updates: With this option activated, Pulsar compares itself to the most current version available from our server and alerts you when a new version is available. Leave this on to stay up-to-date.
