The first step in creating a photo package is selecting which poses to use.  Poses are images that are obtained from a number of sources, such as files on your hard drive, images from an FTP or web server, even pictures extracted from management applications like iPhoto, Aperture and Lightroom.

Adding Poses

The easiest way to create a photo package from files already on your hard drive is to create a new PhotoPackage document with the New Package from Images... item of the File menu.  Using the Open Panel, select which images you want to use for the document’s poses.

A slightly more flexible way of adding poses to a document is using drag and drop.  First create a new empty document with the New Package item of the File menu.  Next, open the window that contains the images you want to use as poses — this can be a Finder window, a web page, or any other application’s document that supports images.  Simply drag the image from the source window to the PhotoPackage document’s Pose Selection pane.  PhotoPackage will indicate an acceptable dragging source by changing the cursor and highlighting the insertion point of the new poses.

Alternatively, using the Add Poses... item from the Package menu will again present you with an Open Panel for selecting additional poses to be added to the document.

Creating documents from images stored in iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom or other sources is covered by the Third-Party Integration feature.

Removing Poses

Removing poses from a document is also very easy.  Simply select which pose you would like to remove by clicking the pose image in Pose Selection pane, and a colored highlight will surround the pose.

Then select the Remove Pose item from the Package menu.
