Clean Caches

To speed up your computer, applications frequently store data in files know as caches. However, when this data becomes corrupted it can cause all kinds of problems, ranging from reduced performance over slow starts to system and application crashes. Moreover, no longer needed data may end of eating up your precious disk space.

If you experience any of these problems, or you would like to free up some disk space, try cleaning your caches.

To clean caches:

To clean the caches in your home folder, choose Home Clean > Clean User Cache.

To clean the Dashboard widget cache, choose Home Clean > Clean Dashboard Cache.

To clean the browser cache, choose Home Clean > Clean Browser Caches, and then choose your browser.

To clean the caches the system cache, choose System Clean > Clean System Cache.

To clean the caches the font caches, choose System Clean > Clean Font Caches.

To clean the caches of all users, choose System Clean > Clean All Users Caches.

The Home Clean > Clean User Cache will clean all application caches, including the Dashboard and browser caches.
