You can annotate your plot by adding a title at the top, and a legend inside the plot area. The legend can also be used to display intesnity values, as measured at the cursor position. You can also control the text font and size, enable or disable gridlines, and change the grid colour.
Do one of the following:
Choose: View > Annotation > Show/Hide Plot Title. If this is a new title, you will be prompted to enter text in a sheet or dialog.
Click the Plot Title checkbox in the Text group of the Format Inspector.
Do one of the following:
Double-click the title.
Choose: View > Annotation > Set Plot Title.
You can then edit the text in the editing sheet or dialog that appears.
Do one of the following:
Click the Legend checkbox in the Text group of the Format Inspector.
Choose: View > Annotation > Show/Hide Legend.
Do one of the following:
Use the font controls available in the Text group of the Format Inspector.
Choose: Edit > Show Fonts and choose a new font and size from the fonts panel.
Do one of the following:
Click the Show gridlines checkbox in the Graph Options group of the Format Inspector.
Choose: View > Grid > Show/Hide Gridlines.
Do one of the following:
Click the gridlines colour button in the Graph Options group of the Format Inspector.
Choose: View > Grid > Grid Colour....
By default, CrystalDiffract uses transparent graph backgrounds, which you may notice when you export graphics to another program. To instead use an opaque graph background, follow these steps:
Open the Graph Options group of the Format Inspector.
Set the Use solid fill checkbox.
Click the colour button to choose a new background colour.
Note: The title and legend text are drawn at a fixed size, relative to other text in your plot. You can edit these using the fonts panel (Edit > Show Fonts).
