Help for AccomplishmentTracker 2.0:

Making a ToDo List:

    1) Decide which type of task you are about to record. Click on the Appropriate Radio button at the top of the screen.  ( 'Work', 'Home', or another category of your own choosing. See Below. )

    2) Type in the task you wish to record in the text area beneath 'Accomplishment Description'.

    3) Click on the 'Add to ToDo' Button or push the 'Return' key.  Notice that it has appeared in the ToDo List

    4) Note that if you push the 'Return' and the 'Shift' key after entering text, the text will be moved to the Accomplishment Section.

Accomplish Something

    1) Click on the 'Today' Button.  Anything you mark as accomplished will be marked for the date to the left of the today button.  If you forgot to mark something yesterday, you can use the '<<' Button to move back to the appropriate date.

    2) Select the item you have accomplished from the 'ToDo List' by clicking on it.  Then Click on the 'Accomplished It' Button.  You will see that it has moved to the 'Accomplishments for the Week of:' Text Area.

    3) If you need to copy or get the Accomplishments for the week, check the AccomplishmentTracker folder for the subfolder with the same name as the selected 'Type' of accomplishment.  For instance, my status for 'Work' for the week of 10/2/2000 is within the 'work' subfolder in the file named 'Status10.2.2000.txt'

Creating new Accomplishment Types

    3) Next to the third button is a pulldown list containing new Accomplishment Types you have added.

Importing Folders from previous versions

Overview: You will be moving your existing accomplishment folders to the new App Folder, but not copying the 'support' folder. You will then be copying the existing 'acctyp' from the old 'support' folder to the AccomplishmentTracker2.0 'support' folder.

    1) Install AccomplishmentTracker2.0 in a different location.

    2) Select the old AccomplishmentTracker Folder and duplicate it. (This is just a temporary backup)

    3) Open the old AccomplishmentTracker Folder.

    4) Select all of the folders within the 'AccomplishmentTracker' Folder except for the 'support' folder. They should have names like 'work', 'home', 'project1', etc.

    5) Copy the folders to the new Accomplishment Tracker 2.0 Folder. You will need to overwrite the existing folders for 'Home', work. Again, do not copy the 'support' Folder to the new application!

    6) Go to the old AccomplishmentTracker's 'suport' folder. Copy the 'acctyp' file to the new Accomplishment Tracker 2.0 'support' Folder. The 'acctyp' file contains a listing of your Accomplishment types.

    7) Run the new AccomplishmentTracker 2.0!
